Rocket Piano review

by admin on April 14, 2010

In this Rocket piano review we look at one of the most popular piano courses on the internet today.

(You can use this course for a keyboard as well as piano)

What is it?

This is a digital course, meaning you access all the content online or you can download parts to your computer, that keeps the cost down for you because they don’t have to stock or ship the course so you can get it all for just $39.95. When you click through to order you are offered a physical copy of the course, it is exactly the same as the digital course but you get it in DVD and printed book form instead, but that then goes up to $199.95 plus P&P, so you can see how much of a bargain downloading it is.

For your money then you get a series of guides and videos that take you right from the very basics of playing piano for someone who has never touched one before, through to advanced techniques once you have mastered everything else in the course. The lessons are in both text and video format which gives you a nice mix so you don’t get bored with the text, but you aren’t always stuck watching videos which are time consuming to go back through when you want to recap.

You also get taught to play songs throughout the course to help you practice, both classics and songs they have had written for the course, to help you master the skills they have been teaching you up to that point in the course. There are also 26 jam tracks where you can play songs along with a recorded band.

So if you get the digital version of this course then it is the best value piano course we have seen, for less than 40 bucks you can get almost a year’s worth of piano lessons to teach you everything you need to know about playing the piano, the physical version is a bit overpriced though.
